E. Financial Support

E.1. The institution allocates a separate and efficient budget for the library.

E.2. All library fees and funds appropriated/budgeted for the library resources and services are utilized solely for such purposes.

E.3. Salaries/wages of library personnel are drawn from general institutional funds.

E.4. The allocation of funds for various needs of the library is satisfactory.

E.5. The institution allocates to the library at least 5% of its total annual operating expenditures exclusive of salaries.

E.6. The responsibility to prepare, defend and administer the library budget is delegated clearly and explicitly to the head librarian.

E.7. Other sources of financial assistance are sought.
