Reshaping the school perspective, UNC’s Criminal Justice Education continuously attests to the notion of providing caliber education and real-world progress in fields of law enforcement and correctional administration in the Bicol Region. Various educational programs cultivate the competencies of the learners, which therefore produce globally competitive and value-laden graduates.
June 10 - 12, 2018 embarks the peachy keen journey of the batch in the Criminologists Licensure Examination, ranking 1st in Naga city and 4th in Bicol Region with 56.52% passing percentage and 33.38% in the national level. This milestone exhibited by the institution is through the pillar of support of CJE with the leadership of the former Dean, Dr. Shirlene S. Esplana. The performance of the college constantly visualizes the capability to cope with the dynamic society and serve as an instrument for empowerment.
The current faculty and staff with the newly appointed Dean of CJE last December 2020, Dr. Lorlie B. Tanjay, endeavors to upraise the stature driven with principles and ideals to persistently sustain and manifest excellence in the performance and all undertakings through the years.
As the college generates well-educated students who eventually contribute to the betterment, it is also envisioned to establish proficiency and provide a wide range of job opportunities in respective fields of the governing law enforcement agencies in the mentioned region. The execution of internship programs allows applying lifelong learnings, so the department continuously reinforces the scope of employment in the public and private sectors.
Through revamps, the department ensures that the comprehensive procedures are being integrated into the academe to utilize the expertise and develop the exemplary characteristics of future law enforcers with a sense of duty while upholding integrity. Thus, such a leap forward strengthens the cornerstone of attaining the epitome of righteous conduct, maintaining peace and order, reducing criminality rates, and promoting the quintessence of humanity.
