C.2. Holdings
C.2.1. The library collection sufficiently supports the curricular, instructional, research and recreational needs of the clientele.
C.2.2. Library collections are well chosen and well balanced to meet the demands of today’s educational interests of the students and faculty.
C.2.3. There is a strong reference collection with the standard works and general publication for the literature search, background reading and information.
C.2.4. There is an extensive Filipiniana collection which meets the demands of the school curriculum.
C.2.5. The following book collection is maintained:
C.2.6. Audio-visual materials are provided and made accessible through sufficient facilities and equipment
C.2.7. The library allocates one (1) copy of a reserve book for every twenty (20) students.
C.2.8. The quality of collection is maintained through regular checking against standard bibliographies.
C.2.9. There is a regular weeding program to keep the collection relevant and up-to-date.
C.3. Organization and Care of Materials
C.3.1. The collection is organized according to an accepted scheme of classification and standard code of catalog.
C.3.2. Periodical and properly organized and records are complete, accurate and updated.
C.3.3. In house indexes are available.
C.3.4. Audio-visual materials are organized and easily accessible for effective use by both faculty and students.
C.3.5. Vertical file materials are kept updated and indexed.
C.3.6. Shell-list files are maintained for inventory purposes.
C.3.7. For huge library systems where separate card catalogs are provided for each unit library, a union catalog is maintained for easy access to the total.
C.3.8. Provisions are made for the preservation and conservations of rare and valuable materials.
C.3.9. Provisions are made for the general care and upkeep of library materials and bibliographical tools.
