Buildings

C.1. The buildings are fireproof and fire escapes are readily accessible from any point of the building. There is a working fire alarm system.

C.2. Well-planned entrances and exits permit the use of the buildings for public and functions with minimum interference of school activities.

C.3. The buildings are functionally constructed in relation to their relative use. The building meets all requirements of the current Building Code and certificate of occupancy is conspicuously displayed.

C.4. The buildings are so planned and located as to provide future expansion.

C.5. Emergency evacuation  exits are adequate for calamities, earthquakes, explosions, panic situations, etc.

C.6. The corridors, doorways and alleys are so constructed as to facilitate movement of traffic. The flow of traffic is not impeded. 

C.7. Water facilities are sanitary, adequate and well-distributed.

C.8. There is adequate ventilation throughout the buildings 

C.9. There are adequate toilets and lavatories with adequate facilities for men and women 

C.10.The buildings and their appurtenances are attractive, clean and well-maintained. 

C.11.Electrical line are safely installed and periodically checked. 

C.12.The buildings provide facilities for differently-abled persons as provided by law 

C.13.There is a central signal system 

C.14.There is a periodic potability testing of drinking water.

C.15.Floor plans indicating fire exits and locations of fire fighting equipment, stand pipes and of other water sources are prominently displayed in each building 

C.16.There are readily available fire extinguishers and other fire fighting equipment 

C.17.All combustible materials are properly taken care of and stored safely 

C.18.There is periodic pest control of school facilities 

C.19.There is a janitorial and maintenance staff with a proper workroom and equipment for cleaning , inspection and maintenance of the buildings

C.20. "No Smoking" areas are clearly marked
