About Purchasing an instrument...
At this time, purchasing an instrument is NOT recommended. Instruments are expensive - rent or borrow first to see if your child likes and is successful with their instrument choice. String instruments are fitted to the size of your child - as your child grows, they will need a new instrument. When you rent, you can simply exchange the instrument for the correct size instead of having to purchase multiple instruments.
If you still want to purchase - please check with Ms. Bruner or Ms. Brann to see if the instrument will work for your child. Poor quality instruments tend to break easily or aren't able to stay in tune and make playing no fun for your child. Reminder: String instruments must be sized to fit your child (please the SUPPLIES NEEDED page for string instrument sizing information).
