Those who love to play-- practice! And those who practice-- love to play!
Students should report to their lesson to inform their instrumental music teacher about their preparedness level for that day. Students will gain information on how to be successful for the next lesson.
Students are expected to practice their instruments at home.Β
Students that are eligible and choose to participate in band or string ensemble will have rehearsals once a week in the morning before school on specific dates (beginning in late January/early February).
Eligible, experienced players that choose to participate in an ensemble will have a Winter and Spring performance.Β Eligible beginners' debut performance is held in the Spring.Β
Please see the "About our Program - Ensembles" page for more information.
We always encourage students to seek private instruction. The Upper Moreland Summer Arts Camp is also a great option for students to continue playing during the summer once they have completed their first year of instrumental music.Β
