Most instructors recognize the immense benefits of allowing students to read and respond to peers’ drafts. Still, they may be reluctant to commit class time and preparation time to developing effective peer response activities and practices. This workshop focuses on evidence-based strategies for developing practical, flexible, and time-efficient peer response activities, including the design of guidelines, criteria, and supplemental documents like revision memos. This workshop will benefit instructors who would like to develop new peer response activities and instructors who want to tinker with pre-existing materials.
Facilitated by Matt Luskey, Director, Writing Across the Curriculum.
