Undergraduate Students

Forms

  • If the student is being paid, fill out the New Employee Form (electronic, requires sign-in). Once submitted, a request for approval will be routed to the listed supervisor, then routed to cluster staff for processing.

    • Filling out this form ensures department staff can create mailbox, add to appropriate listservs, lab roster, etc.

  • If the student is unpaid and is volunteering in the lab,

  • If the student is a minor (under the age of 18) the individual and the lab are required by law to complete additional paperwork.

Training

  • Safety training is handled at the University by the Department of Environment Health and Safety (DEHS).

  • Safety training is required for all employees, students, and volunteers prior to starting work in the lab. Depending on the type of work that is done in the lab, different trainings are required.

  • Visit the DEHS training website to find appropriate training.
