Employee Engagement Projects
Current projects:
Current projects are included within the Department's strategic plan.
Completed projects:
2018-2020 Employee Engagement Projects, based primarily on 2017 Results and reenforced/adjusted to 2019 Results
New Employee Training (encompassing employee onboarding and the first 12 months of employment), resulting in a new employee training website. This group expanded their scope and also added a new section for supervisors in training new remployees! Both of these are available under the Onboarding tab of this site.
Removing Barriers, resulting in a collated list of barriers across the entire department. The project team completed its identification of barriers as well as recommended solutions, which the department management team has been using as a framework for improvements.
Professional Development, resulting in regular Professionally-Helpful Development for Staff (PHDs) series. Project progress was delayed due to COVID19, and has not restarted. Professional Development planning and funding continued to be prioritized based on survey results, resulting in the access, funding, and programming available now in 2024.
2016 Employee Engagement Projects, based on 2015 Results
Communication, resulting in a regular staff newsletter
Work-Life Balance, resulting in a department wide Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) policy and process. The FWA allowed Pediatrics to shift to virtual more easily than many other locations when the pandemic started, and provided a framework for hybrid work once return to work was allowed.
Resources, resulting in a Pediatric Staff Resource Website (this site!)
