Credentialing Overview
Credentialing is a phrase that is typically used to describe 3 different processes:
License/DEA (Ability to work)
Hospital Privileges (Access to facility)
Payer Enrollment (Insurance/Reimbursement)

M Health Fairview Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
From your computer, go to aka.ms/mfasetup.
Enter your work credentials.
Fairview and University of Minnesota/University of Minnesota Physicians primary account users enter your Fairview ID followed by @fairview.org.
HealthEast primary account users, enter your HealthEast ID (what you use to log into your computer) followed by @healtheast.org. (e.g. hl2345@healtheast.org).
Access to M Health Fairview Apps (EPIC, Intranet, Microsoft 365)
Use your M Health Fairview/EPIC Username/Password
Forward M Health Fairview Email to UMN Email/other Email address
When on the M Health Fairview Intranet page, on the left side click on Outlook
At the top of the Outlook page, select Settings
Select Mail > Forwarding.
Select Enable Forwarding, enter the forwarding email address, and select Save.

If you need a pager exchange/repair, or pager copy, OR are having paging issues please contact the M Health Fairview TSC at 612-672-6805 and a TSC agent will assist you.
To return a pager, send to the address below. The University interoffice or M Health Fairview interoffice mail can be used. It takes 2-3 days.

Ordering M Health Fairview Stationery & Business Cards
The clinic managers will order business cards for their clinic, but the division orders if a provider wants business cards with multiple locations or if they are primarily inpatient/hospital shift-based.
Business cards are ordered through Marketing On Demand. First time users just need to click the link to Register for an Account, and then they are able to go in and order MHealth stationary (including MHealth business cards).
How to register
Go to mod.mhealthfairview.org
Create an account by clicking on the blue “Register for an Account” button
Enter contact information and use your current employee username and password that you use for signing onto your computer.
Click “Register”

Lab Coats
New providers are able to order up to 3 lab coats as part of the onboarding process. Contact medbooks@umn.edu with questions.
Faculty wanting replacement, or more than 3 coats, can use their BEA, sponsored funding (if applicable and allowable), or other discretionary funding.
NOTE: Embroidery is added as a separate cart item per coat. During checkout you should select the 'M Health Fairview' branding option.
