Compare form and survey options available to you through the University and the Office of Communications and Marketing in the College of Education and Human Development.
Cognito Forms allow for easy building and maintenance of forms for collecting public information. (See University's definition of public vs. private information.) By embedding code on your website, you can seamlessly host the form on your site or at Cognito.
Cognito Forms are currently used on many of our websites for request for information (RFI) forms as well as for RSVP forms for events across the college.
Limited CEHD seats are available. Request access to Cognito Forms via OCM's project request form.
Slate supports the admissions process by connecting and sharing information with students, schools, and colleges. Slate is used by the Office of Admissions (for undergraduate student recruitment and applications) as well as the Graduate School (for applications). While we do not have access to Slate for undergrads, academic units throughout the college access it for graduate and professional student applications. Some units also use it for grad student marketing communications and recruitment.
Qualtrics is an easy-to-use, full-featured, web-based tool for creating and managing online surveys. Qualtrics platform is free for all students, staff, and faculty. While most often used for research and teaching, Qualtrics can be used by marketing communications staff for:
Administration: event evaluation, feedback surveys, etc.
Forms: applications (some minors use Qualtrics forms which are more secure than Google or Cognito), contact forms, agreements, and collection of uploaded files.
Create your own surveys, sign-up forms, and impromptu polls using a variety of question options ranging from drop-downs, linear scales, and more!
Results are conveniently stored in Google Sheets for analysis and can be shared with friends and colleagues.
