4-H is all about project-based learning. It’s like an a la carte menu - choose whatever you like and dive into it! Projects don’t have to be defined groups or created at your 4-H Club meetings. They can be made at home, at school, in another program, on a trip -- anywhere! Seriously, anything you do & learn can be made into a 4-H project!
Though we’d love to hear about every possible thing you’ve been up to this year, we want you to bring your favorite and best work! Please follow these project limit guidelines when preparing for any showcase event:

up to 10 rabbits per youth

Square footage: Floor space for any exhibit should not exceed 20 square feet (ex: 5'x4'). If your exhibit exceeds this space limitation, contact the Extension office.
Label each item: All exhibits must be labeled with name, club, and county. Other appropriate information for the project (i.e., vegetable varieties) should be included. If the exhibit has multiple pieces, each part needs to be labeled and should indicate 1 of 4, 2 of 4, etc.
Copyright Law and Infringement:
Copyright is a form of protection given to authors and creators of original work. Original work includes a person’s ideas captured in writing or as an image, photograph, song, audio recording, or visual recording.
All original work – including information found on the web – is subject to copyright protection. The author/creator has exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, display, perform or make derivative works.
Before using another person’s work as part of your 4-H exhibit, be sure that the work is subject to fair use, has a creative commons license or that you have requested and received permission (in writing) to use the original work. If an exhibit infringes on copyright law, a decision may need to be made to remove the exhibit from display at the county or state fair.
AI Tools and Technology:
4-H members who incorporate AI tools or technologies into their projects should clearly cite the use of these resources. This includes, but is not limited to, AI-generated content, AI-driven data analysis, and AI-based project enhancements.
Citation Suggestions: provide the name of the AI tool or technology used; explain how the AI was used in the project; include any relevant references or sources as appropriate.
For youth, grades K-2
4‐H Cloverbuds are youth in grades kindergarten, first, and second grades, who do the same projects as older 4‐H’ers, but in a way appropriate to their age & developmental stage. Cloverbuds explore and learn about the world in a non‐competitive environment by doing fun activities of their own choice.
For youth, grades 3+
General 4-H projects learning opportunities are endless! There are so many things you can do and learn about that don’t have to have a live animal involved. These projects are eligible to be entered to be judged and on display at the Hennepin County Fair, June 12-14
For 3+ youth, any grades
Share in project learning with peers in your 4-H group or club, and have an opportunity to share your club with prospective youth and families who attend the Hennepin County Fair! These projects will be judged and on display at the Hennepin County Fair, June 12-14. Clubs also may be selected to showcase their projects at the Minnesota State Fair!
