Welcome to the Hennepin County 4-H Project & Showcase Dashboard!

We hope you’ve had a great year of learning, whether in school, in extracurriculars, in your own studies at home, in your 4-H Club, and beyond! An important piece in your learning & leadership is how you share it. We hope you & your favorite project(s) can join us this spring & summer at our various 4-H project learning showcasing events, where you’ll perform & present to a caring, adult judge, and celebrate your amazing projects with others.

Please use this platform as your "homebase" for all things exhibition-related with Hennepin County 4-H!

Please add these important dates to your calendar:

April 1 - project registration opens for ALL projects/exhibits
- Note: Group Projects must be registered by staff. Let us know about your group project here: z.umn.edu/GroupProject_Register_Fair
April 4 - May 15 - Virtual Office Hours for showcase questions on Zoom:
- - - all virtual office hours have been completed
May 15 - Project registration in FairEntry CLOSES for ALL projects/exhibits
- Note: Group Projects must be registered by staff. Let us know about your group project here: z.umn.edu/GroupProject_Register_Fair
May 15 - 4-H member enrollment deadline; Animal ID deadline; Livestock Quality Assurance Training deadline
May 15th - If not able to attend June 7th judging, then submit Absentee/Virtual Judging Request Form by May 15th (or ASAP on a circumstantial basis)
May 22nd - 4-H project drop off for youth being judged virtually or absentee (to be displayed at County Fair)
June 7th, Saturday - 4-H Project Entry Day
- For ALL PROJECTS without a physical animal
- Exhibitors will be organized by judging area and time of arrival. Please expect some wait times.
  - - We will provide activities, refreshments, and waiting areas; but please bring additional activities to pass the time if you like!
- JUDGING: 11:30 am - 5:00 pm with judging break 2:30- 3:00pm

June 12-14 - Hennepin County Fair at Corcoran Lions Park

June 14 - Hennepin County 4-H Rabbit Show, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
June 14 - State Fair project registration deadline for all general and rabbit projects, 5pm
June 14-15 - County Fair Project Pickup at Corcoran Lions Park

Sat., June 14th 9:00 pm - NO PROJECTS RELEASED BEFORE 9PM

Sun., June 15th 9-10am - PROJECTS LEFT ONSITE WILL BE TAKEN BACK TO THE HENNEPIN COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE IN EDEN PRAIRIE

July 18 - Horse Project deadline for class registration in FairEntry
July 18 - Dog Project deadline for class registration in FairEntry
July 26-27 - Hennepin County 4-H Dog Show
August 2 - Hennepin County 4-H Horse Show
August 10 - State Horse Show & State Dog Show registration deadline

Important Updates & Deadlines

Enroll in 4-H by May 15th!

All youth actively participating in 4-H are asked to be enrolled by Thursday, May 15th, 2025.

(Re-)Enroll in 4-H Online. Use this tip sheet for assistance.

Be sure to save your username & password! You'll need it for project registration!

Showing animals this summer? Submit Animal IDs by May 15!

For any 4-H youth who would like to show an animal in a County 4-H animal show AND be eligible for the State trip, your animal must have 4-H certified identification submitted by May 15th, 2025. This is a statewide deadline, with no exceptions. By completing this process, you ensure health, safety, and fairness at practices, meetings, and in competition.

Visit the Animal ID website for Minnesota Extension (extension.umn.edu/4-h-projects/4-h-animal-id), which outlines the required items and documentation needed for the animal identification process for each species.

Project registration opens Tuesday, April 1st!

Starting Tuesday, April 1st, register your 4-H project(s) in FairEntry (hennepin-mn.fairentry.com)

FairEntry our online registration system for all showcase events! Anything that gets entered, judged, and displayed at a 4-H county show should be registered in FairEntry! It is mobile friendly and integrated with 4-H Online, so it makes for a family- and staff-friendly experience.

Project registration closes on May 15th for all General Projects and Exhibits.

We would love for you to share your photos (or short videos) of your project learning and showcase event experiences with us! Whether in the middle of an activity, shrugging to blooper, OR posing with your finished product - we’d love to see you!
