Individual Career Coaching
Schedule appointments by calling our front desk at 612-625-3632 or emailing gbccmail@umn.edu.
Appointments are conducted via phone/Zoom. Topics include, but are not limited to:
Resources
Alumni can access online databases and publications by visiting the Wilson Business Reference Library. Your access level does not change as an alum, though you need to visit in-person rather than logging in remotely.
Job Postings
Alumni have access to job postings through the Handshake system. For password or general assistance, call 612-301-HELP.
Company Contacts
The best way to identify key networking contacts at your target companies, or in your desired industry or functional areas is to use LinkedIn. We recommend starting on the Carlson School or U of M LinkedIn pages then navigating to the Alumni tab. From there you can use filters to narrow down connections that you may want to reach out to. See our LinkedIn resource page for more information.
Events and Workshops
The CBCC sponsors or co-sponsors a number of events designed to facilitate your connections to key corporate contacts and develop the skills necessary for your career development and job search.
Check Handshake regularly for the most up-to-date list of events and workshops available to you!
