Periods

Students are required to take a total of 76 credits (1 credit = 1 week) over 102 weeks during the final two years of Medical School.  These credits are offered in set blocks of time of either 2, 4, or 8 weeks.  The annual calendar is posted on the 3-4 home page found on the Academic Calendars website.

Unscheduled Flex Time

Students take 76 credits over the course of 104 weeks and will have approximately 24 weeks of unscheduled flexible time (in addition to school breaks) across years 3 and 4.  This time can be used for residency interviews, study time for USMLE exams, vacation and research.
