Summit Pointe will be developed with a bike charging station in front of the property. These changing stations, with a proposed 12 charging spots in front of the property, will be highly lucrative due to the increased usage of personal electric vehicles within the Ann Arbor area. Much like an electric car charging station, these stations allow for personalized vehicles such as electric scooters and bikes to be charged. Companies such as SPIN and Bird often fall behind on charging scooters as demand increases during the fall and spring, so this infrastructure could become a key part of their business model. In return for allowing these companies to charge their devices, residents of Summit Pointe will be able to utilize these products, providing sustainable and reliable transportation for all residents, regardless of income level.

Due to the surplus of clean energy created from the VAWTs, Solar Panels, and Geothermal HVAC systems, the energy cost for this charging station will be negligible. The initial cost of setting up one of these charging stations typically falls at around $500 per slot, so the cost will be minimal for the developer. Furthermore, it will draw in tenants for the units due to the availability of scooters/bikes for residents, lowering resident turnover time.
