Treeline Trail

Treeline Trail

Following the completion of the Alignment Study for the northernmost section of the Treeline Trail, the city of Ann Arbor has designated that the proposed Treeline Trail will be developed running along 721 N Main Street (See Building Design and Unit Structure). This trail will be a part of the city's goals to be both a sustainable and communal friendly city, connecting existing biking trails to the new Treeline trail to make the city more bike accessible.

This trail will be highly beneficial to the Summit Pointe development thesis, as it will allow residents to have access to a green biking path. This, combined with the electric bikes available for residential use, will create a transportation method for residents that is far more carbon friendly than the common auto use. The bike charging station was strategically positioned along the trail to offer electric vehicles for walkers.

In an effort to aid the development of this trail, Summit Pointe will commit to planting a variety of Maple, Oak, and Spruce trees along the path borders. Selecting this variety of trees will allow for cover for both residents and walkers year-round. This will serve both to provide privacy for the residents, along with acting as a natural backdrop for those wandering down the path.
