Author Training Program

author training program

Writing and publishing original research articles describing are crucial to get the word out about your team's research. But publishing in peer-reviewed journals is highly-competitive, and can be difficult for researchers without access to training.

To address this challenge, we launched the Author Training Program, which provides manuscript development and author support services to authors who are part of large, grant-funded research projects.

Authors receive intensive, onsite or virtual training in writing and publishing and multiple rounds of scientific peer review and professional copy editing for their manuscript, as well as other services such as designing effective visuals and assistance with abstracts and presentations for academic conferences.

As part of our Author Training Program, we are proud to partner with the Center for the Assessment of Tobacco Regulations (CAsToR), which aims to provide evidence-based and expert-informed modeling of the behavioral and public health impacts of tobacco regulations. They are a multi-institutional organization funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). CAsToR provides a comprehensive approach for showing the population impacts of FDA regulations on tobacco control to evaluate the potential health and behavioral impacts of individual and combined regulations, as well as providing modeling capabilities on a rapid response basis.
