Kuang is a Master’s student in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan, advised by Prof. Max Li. Kuang earned his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Nottingham in 2024. His research interests include logistics, optimization and control. At LATTICE, Kuang leads the FAA-funded FAST project, focusing on developing provably safe optimization algorithms for air traffic arrival flows into terminal airspace.
Beyond academics, Kuang is also a treasure hunter. He has found geocaches across Europe, Asia, and North America. Hopefully, one day he’ll find the geocache on the International Space Station.
