Jimin Choi is a Ph.D. student starting in Fall 2024 under Professor Max Z. Li at the Aerospace Engineering department at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her research interests include autonomy in engineering, especially in optimization and AI in aerospace. She thinks that humanity should be able to move freely in all directions, including the vertical, and not just stick to the usual horizontal planes. Jimin earned her Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from KAIST in 2024, and a double major Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering & Business and Technology Management in 2022, also from KAIST.
Beyond academics, Jimin is passionate about the intersection of technology and business. She loves meeting new people, experiencing new things, and has a bucket list goal of seeing the Earth from space. In her free time, she enjoys singing, biking, and traveling.
