Jimin Choi is a Ph.D. candidate in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan, where she is advised by Prof. Max Z. Li. Her research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty and optimization for autonomous aerospace systems. She received her M.S. and B.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where she also completed a second major in Business Management as an undergraduate. Her broader research interests lie at the intersection of aerospace systems, artificial intelligence, and operations research, with an emphasis on enabling robust and scalable autonomy in uncertain environments.
Beyond academics, Jimin is passionate about the intersection of technology and business. She loves meeting new people, experiencing new things, and has a bucket list goal of seeing the Earth from space. In her free time, she enjoys singing, biking, and traveling.
