"Mucho Macho" was written by Ulises Otero and Diego Rodriguez. Ulises Otero also served as director on the film. This is a devised 10 minute short film, and focused on the relationship between two young men as they find themselves before graduation.
Within this project, I curated the production design to reflect the characterization of the young men as they embarked on their internal journey. Through color analysis and diving into the character's backgrounds, we were able to create mood boards and character aesthetics that ultimately matched the events in the film.
This freelance short film was created as a final project for a class. For this film, the director and I worked in close contact with the screenwriter to create authentic characters that correlated with the script. The film features the main characters who fall in love on a whim after meeting at the library. The overall color scheme of the film was created to convey the warm, autumnal love the main characters share despite their small amount of time spent together.
