Anat, Allison, Paul - IceCube Research
Experiment in the South Pole
Put sensors deep in the ice
Try to trace the path of neutrinos through the sensors
Allison's paper - Strong evidence of neutrinos coming from Northern and traveling through entire Earth. They looked at the angle at which it entered the detector
Paul's paper - 2008/2009 period, when IceCube was still being built, scientists were trying to figure out if the detector could actually detect directions. They created an image of the moon because less cosmic rays would hit the detectors when they came from the direction of the moon. This put a lower limit to the energy of cosmic rays that the detector could detect.
Neutrinos are not effected by magnetic fields.
