Fully support the efforts of UM Top Management in elevating the university to global standards and recognition.
Manage, supervise, plan and execute all activities of the RC, including students and staff in ensuring a functional and well-managed entity in advancing the status as a world class academic entity.
Ensure that the KPI and annual targets of the RC are achieved based on the following categories:

Display exemplary leadership in the academic front, especially in ensuring that all academic staff and higher degree students are committed in their roles and responsibilities in achieving their KPI. For the academic staff, their job scope/KPI are determined by the UM Top Management as stated in the Standard Academic Performance Target (SAPT), that encompasses research, publications, supervision of higher degree candidates, teaching, consultation, clinical works(if applicable), administration and public service.
Assist the university in the efforts of income generation, including sourcing for endowment and research grants for RC.
Consistently supervise the quality of the curriculum of all courses offered in the RC and to take necessary steps in ensuring that the curriculum is of the highest quality and to meet the needs and demands of the market, with the right and latest syllabus and to introduce new programmes or courses, if necessary.
Take necessary and right measures including introducing new programmes in ensuring that the students produced are of the highest quality, extremely competent and to display high employability readiness.
Ensure that all the requirements stated by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and other professional bodies (if applicable) and Quality Management and Enhancement Centre are adhered to.
Establish good working relationship with all RCs, Departments and Units in UM.
Ensure that all financial procedures and matters regarding expenses, procurements, payments, asset management and income management at RC are carried out in accordance to the rules and guidelines as estalished which are in force. Measures must be taken to ensure that all expenses at the RC are done diligently and prudently, in line with the cost-saving initiative that is implemented by the government.
Take proactive steps to safeguard the good name and reputation of the RC and UM.
Carry out all orders, directives and/or additional tasks that are given periodically by the Vice-Chancellor, his or her representative or the Authorised Entity of UM.
