If you feel uncomfortable with a student

If you are uncomfortable with any student for any reason at all, you are 100% free to end the session immediately. Do not stay in a session if you feel disrespected, if you've been hit on, if you feel unsafe, or if you feel uncomfortable for any other reason.

All you have to do is say "I have to leave now," leave the session, and come to GH301 to tell LCLC Staff about the situation. We will follow up with the student. You may also email us at lclc@uic.edu and edweber@uic.edu OR join the Zoom room to talk to LCLC Staff. 

Students should not contact you outside of tutoring hours. Don’t give them your contact information, last name, etc. If a student contacts you outside of tutoring hours and you are not comfortable with that for any reason, please let us know ASAP.
