John Bell is available in-person at SEO 921. Find my full schedule at http://www.cs.uic.edu/~jbell
TAs will be available in SELE 4060, the Computer Science lounge (SELE 2268), or on Blackboard Collaborate. See details on TA availability below.
If you would like to set up an alternative time to meet, please let us know via Piazza or email so that we can arrange to do so!
Professors and teaching assistants (TAs) schedule regular times outside of class to meet with students. These are called drop-in hours (or office hours) and are opportunities for instructors to have course-related discussions with students and, importantly, to give students a chance to ask for clarification or help understanding material presented in class.
Drop-in hours are not negative consequences for poor academic performance.
I do not require you to attend drop-in hours but strongly encourage you to participate as often as possible, recognizing these times as assets to your learning.
Dr. Bell does not have another class immediately after CS 100, so he can usually hang around after class to answer questions, depending on other commitments. See his full schedule at http://www.cs.uic.edu/~jbell.
This will let you know whom you can contact to receive more information regarding a particular grade or answers to questions on other aspects of the class.
