Luksong-lubid or Jumping rope is a common game played by children on the streets and open spaces. This western-inspired game has become popular in the Philippines because of its simplicity, engaging everyone to perform and have fun all at the same time.

Jumpers can burn calories equal to a candy bar or 200 calories by just doing it in fifteen minutes.
10 minutes of jumping rope is equal to 30 minutes of running at a 5.7 mph pace.
Jumping rope is a plyometric style workout that is excellent for developing power, speed, and endurance. Famous advocates of jump rope include Muhammad Ali, Bruce Lee, and countless martial artists, boxers, and NBA stars.

The objective of the game is for the player to successfully enter, jump (meaning no stepping, tangling, or knotting into the rope), and exit over the rope that is being turned overhead continuously. The two ends of the rope must be held by two persons and must be turned overhead at moderate speed.
Materials: Rope at least 3 meters (est. 9 ft.)
Instruction: Film and perform luksong-lubid. For Category 1 students, save your video file in a flash drive. For Category 2 students, upload your video in your respective Google Classroom. Complete 1 set of 10 cycles (a total of 55 jumps) and take note of the standards set below.
The cycle follows this pattern:
1st cycle- enter the rope, execute 10 jumps, exit the rope
2nd cycle- enter the rope, execute 9 jumps, exit the rope
…continue until 10th cycle, execute 1 jump, exit the rope
