Deborah Oliveira holds a PhD in Music - Performance Studies - from the University of Aveiro, Portugal (2016); Master in Music - Vocal Performance - by The Boston Conservatory, United States of America (1997); Bachelor of Music - Singing - from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (1994); Adjunct Professor of the Degree in Music at the Federal University of Piauí, member of the Research Group in Music of the same institution (NUPEMUS) and Collaborator at the Institute of Ethnomusicology - Center for Studies in Music and Dance (INET-md Aveiro - Portugal). Previously, Professor of Singing at the Graduation in Music at UFRJ (2004 – 2006). Main focus of study, Singing and Body. Publications: Singing in Portuguese in the Opera 'A Vingança da Cigana' by Leal Moreira and Caldas Barbosa, book chapter, Brazil (2013) and The Art of Singing by Tereza Stratas: an arts-based research based on an artistic research, article , ESBRINA Barcelona University (2013). Thesis: The Expressiveness of the Body in Vocal Performance (Aveiro: UA, 2016), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jorge Correia. Main experiences: The Singer's Scenic-Corporal Movement, Vocal Technique for Singing, Musical Theatre, Chamber Music and Opera. Based on these experiences, he has carried out workshops and communications at congresses, including Doctors in Performance, Lithuania (2018); International Society of Music Education, Ireland (2016); 2nd Dalcroze International Conference, Austria (2015); Reflective Conservatory Conference, England (2015); International Society of Performance Science, Japan (2015); and 1st Conference on Arts-Based and Artistic Research, Spain (2013). SANTANDER Scholarship for Young Professors and Researchers, in 2012. CAPES Scholarship within the scope of the Scholarship Program for Full Doctorate Abroad, from 2013 to 2016. Current coordinator of the OCA Project - Artistic Creation Workshop (Brazil). Artistic director in Musical Theater and Opera performances, at UFPI.

Anteriormente, Professora de Canto da Graduação em Música da UFRJ (2004 – 2006). Principal foco de estudo, Canto e Corpo.
