PMEA D11, RVI, & ALL STATE INFO for 2021-22 Festivals

Dear PMEA Festival Directors,

This year's All-State dates have been moved up on the calendar compared to previous years. I've outlined them below. This is due to considerations for housing at All-States. All-State rehearsals will be staggered and require only two nights lodging. As schools may be hesitant to allow students to room with students from different school districts, schools/directors will be responsible to make housing arrangements for the 2022 All-State festival for their students. A large block of rooms will be set aside for the individual arrangements that will be made. As a result, the state board has decided to move up audition dates (will happen at the end of each D11 event) to allow participating directors more time to make housing arrangements and relay needs to their school districts if necessary.

All-State Auditions will be by Submittable and will be conducted as "At-Large" auditions. Auditionees will need to be accepted into Region VI ensembles to be eligible to audition for All-States. If a student is accepted and then doesn't participate in their Region VI ensemble, they cannot audition for All-States. District 11 Festival dates are posted at pmead11.net. District 11 will be holding re-auditions earlier than normal so participants will know if they are a Region VI ensemble member before the All-State Submittable Window opens.

-January 3rd to 7th- ALL GROUPS - D11 Re-auditions via Submittable

-January 13-15 (range)-District 11 Orchestra One-Day event, Mark Thomas/Upper Perkiomen HS

-January 16-All-State Orchestra Submittable Window Opens

-January 27-29 (range)-District 11 Band One-Day event, Chris Bygott/Pennsbury HS

-January 30-All-State Band Submittable Window Opens

-February 10-12 (range)-District 11 Chorus One-Day event, Jon Timmons/Souderton HS

-February 13-All-State Chorus Submittable Window Opens
