The Synthesis Program has basic art supplies available for check-out for use by student project groups. To borrow, refer to the inventory list below, and send an email to cht040@ucsd.edu with the requested items and preferred pick-up and return times.

Note:

1. Because of high demand amongst Synthesis students, all borrowed art materials should be returned clean and in good condition within 3 weeks of pick-up.

2. Inform the Synthesis Program of damage or completed use (example: finishing a bottle of paint) upon returning items. Return everything that you do not use.

3. Art supplies are available on a first come first serve basis.

IMPORTANT! The UCSD Craft Center has additional, free basic art supplies for use within their Craft Lounge. Head to the Craft Center during their business hours to utilize additional basic resources (paint, pencils, glue guns and more).

Synthesis Technology Lending Program Policies

Current Synthesis students may request to rent technology equipment from the Synthesis Program for use on their final course projects. Please review the following policies prior to submitting a Tech Equipment Reservation Form (linked below).

Access the Synthesis Technology Equipment Reservation Form. Submit the completed form at least two (2) business days to requested date(s). For SYN-100 project teams, only one form submission is required per group.
To maximize availability for all Synthesis students, equipment can be reserved for a maximum of 72 hours (3 consecutive days) at a time. Additional time can be requested but may not honored -- the Synthesis Program cannot guarantee equipment availability, students are therefore strongly encouraged to consider contingency plans and other available resources.
All loaned equipment must be returned clean, free of damages, and include all accessories (if applicable). You are responsible for notifying the Synthesis Program team (synthesis@ucsd.edu) of any damage or maintenance needs of equipment.
You will be required to return the loaned equipment on the specified date/time to the Synthesis Program Office.
The use of loaned equipment for any commercial purpose, including any activity where users of the equipment is paid for their work, is strictly forbidden per University policy.

Failure to comply with the outlined equipment policies will result in loss of current and future reservation privileges for individuals and project teams.
