Our main project deliverable was a survey! Our questions were designed to gather data from students for the Leadership Strategy and Engagement Office, the office which draws funding from the university's most generous donors. The goals of the survey are to measure student interest in decarbonization, and what might make them more likely to donate to decarbonization projects at UCSD. The survey questions can be viewed below.
This spreadsheet contains the raw data of our survey results.
The spreadsheet is only accessible by UCSD email.
Our initial project proposal outlines the need for UCSD to attract donors to fund decarbonization projects.
This proposal addresses the struggles of marketing decarbonization, and investigates ways to make decarbonization more appealing to donors.
This presentation overviews our project's process, information from our interview, and our survey conclusions.
Remaining Questions:
How might a larger, more diverse group of students respond to a similar survey?
Which projects can be built off of this information?
How might student stories of engagement with decarbonization help to create donors?
Future Directions:
Maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with the Leadership Strategy and Engagement Office
Periodically reassess the needs of Leadership Strategy and Engagement Office and the Synthesis Program
