Resource Centers and Student Services
Disability Resource Center (DRC)
Disability Resource Center (DRC) (location: 3rd Floor Baytree Building, email: drc@ucsc.edu, phone: 831-459-2089; web: https://drc.ucsc.edu/). The DRC assists in providing educational access for undergrad and graduate students with permanent or temporary disabilities.
Graduate Students can seek resources and accommodations from the DRC by emailing drc@ucsc.edu or reaching out to their new Graduate Student Specialist at drcgrads@ucsc.edu. A list of potential accommodations are listed here and provided by the DRC.
Ethnic Resource Centers
Ethnic Resource Centers (Bay Tree Bookstore building, 3rd floor; Web: https://resourcecenters.ucsc.edu/): Several centers that offer social and academic support. These include the African American Resource and Cultural Center, The American Indian Resource Center, the Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center, and the Chicano Latino Resource Center- El Centro.
Lionel Cantú Queer Center
Lionel Cantú Queer Center in the building between Crown & Merrill Colleges & Crown-Merrill Apartments). Provides a safe space for self-exploration and support about all genders and sexualities. https://queer.ucsc.edu/
The Lionel Cantú Queer Resource Center is the nexus of support and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community at the University of California, Santa Cruz. They create co-curricular experiences with students, staff, and faculty to challenge cisheteronormative understandings of gender and sexuality. Focused on building a more inclusive campus community with and for all queer and trans people by providing essential resources and education through programming, workshops, and critical dialogues.
Graduate Student Childcare and Childcare Reimbursement Programs
Participation in Campus Childcare Programs:
Graduate students may participate if eligible in campus child care programs, including subsidies and other financial assistance. Information regarding available campus child care programs can be found at the UCSC Childcare website.
Childcare Reimbursement Programs:
UC Dependent Care Reimbursement Flexible Spending Account Program (DEPCare).
The Division of Graduate Studies offers childcare reimbursement programs for Academic Student Employees and Graduate Student Researchers. Students employed with eligible ASE or GSR appointments are entitled to participate in the UC Dependent Care Reimbursement Flexible Spending Account Program (DEPCare).
Childcare Reimbursement Program for Graduate Student Employees
Each eligible ASE or GSR may be reimbursed up to $1,100 per quarter (increased from $900 beginning fall 2018) under this program for qualified child care expenses incurred during the appointment period in any quarter of the year, including summer.

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)
ISSS (the Global Engagement front desk in the Classroom Unit Building, istudent@ucsc.edu, https://isss.ucsc.edu/about/index.html), provides visa and immigration advising to F-1 and J-1 international students at UCSC. ISSS also provides workshops, information, and referrals to international students regarding cultural, personal, and other concerns. Please refer to their website for more information on resources and services provided by ISSS for international students.
SOAR/Student Media/Cultural Arts and Diversity (SOMeCA)
SOAR/Student Media/Cultural Arts and Diversity (SOMeCA) (located at Academic Resources Center, near Music Recital Hall, https://someca.ucsc.edu/index.html). SOMeCA supports campus-wide student organizations and will aid student organizations in locating resources.
Undocumented Student Services (USS)
Under the umbrella of EOP, the Undocumented Student Services (USS), (831-459-4055, eopab540@ucsc.edu, https://eop.ucsc.edu/undocumented_student_services/index.html) provides a robust set of services and support to ensure the graduation and retention of undocumented students at UC, Santa Cruz. The services are composed of peer mentors and an academic advisor who provide personal, academic, financial, and legal support to all UCSC undocumented students. Veterans Resource Center
Veterans Resource Center (Kresge College; Web: https://stars.ucsc.edu/veteran/) UCSC VETS provides support, learns with, and learns from all who have served or been affiliated with the military through their educational journey, from prospective student to graduation and beyond. Our staff and students educate, advocate, and engage the campus and community, valuing social responsibility and the sacrifice of all who have served.

Westside/Eastside Writing Center & Writing Support
The Westside/Eastside Writing Center offers writing consultation services and tutoring designed to teach and support students in all aspects and phases of scholastic and professional writing development. Consultants either hold or are pursuing a graduate degree and are professionally experienced tutors, writers, and/or teachers. Consultants have diverse academic specialties to help you grow as a writer and to serve your varied academic needs with robust, personalized, and caring mentorship.
The writing center is a resource for undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate students are encouraged to seek out their services for assistance with their own writing or can refer undergraduates who would benefit from their services.

Women's Center
Women’s Center (Carriage House, near Parking office; Web: https://womenscenter.ucsc.edu/). Provides community space for all women and their allies seeking individual and social change. The women's center offers the following resources locally on or off- campus for graduate and undergraduate students and will hep students in locating resources for Domestic & Sexual Violence, Eating Disorders/Body Image, Heath/Mental Health, LGBTQIA+, and Sexual Harassment.
