Past knowledge and communication skills come together to help study the geography, history, art, and politics of the entire Spanish-speaking world and apply current themes to use on the AP exam. In the first quarter, we will introduce the six main themes that are the main elements of the AP exam and then begin a historical, geographical, cultural study of Spain.

In the first quarter, students in AP Latin will be introduced to the two anchor texts of the course, Caesar's Gallic War and Virgil's Aeneid. Students will learn many of the themes repeated within these two texts and will begin learning their core Latin vocabulary as they begin a comparative reading.
