Sep - Oct: In the Aviation History portion of class we will be spending the first few months learning about flight prior to the Wright Brother's successful flight at Kitty Hawk. In Leadership & Citizenship we will focus on the history and structure of AFJROTC as well as proper uniform wear. All cadets need to get their Consent forms in ASAP for wellness as we will transition from class time to learning some basic strengthening exercises and hope to take the first Physical Fitness test. A Journey into Aviation History focused on the development of flight throughout the centuries. It starts with ancient civilizations, then progresses through time to modern day. Communication, Awareness & Leadership stresses communications skills and cadet corps activities.
Students can expect two to four assignments per week: 1 Aviation History, 1 Comm. & Leadership, and 1 or 2 Drill, Uniform, &/or Wellness.

This course provides exposure to the fundamentals of management. The material contains many leadership topics that will benefit students as well as provide them with some of the necessary skills needed to put into practice what they have learned during their time in AFJROTC. During the fourth year, the cadets manage the entire corps.
