Have you heard about the St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP)? It is a premier college and career readiness program that provides young people like yourself the opportunity to gain relevant workforce readiness skills coupled with a paid summer internship (virtually or in-person). American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) (Juniors and Seniors)

Each year, American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) chapters nationwide host a Black Energy Awareness Month (BEAM) event. This year the Southern Missouri Southeastern Illinois chapter will host our event on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 10:30am until 12:30pm. Due to COVID-19, this year's event will be virtual. The goal of the event is to provide an interactive learning environment for high school students to broaden their knowledge about the energy industry and new technology as well as enhance their exposure to various career opportunities within the energy field. It additionally provides a networking opportunity for students with area professionals. Deadline to sign up is October 30, 2020

Man of Valor, has been a community partner for the School District of University City, since 2013. MOV have two programs at the high school - Boys to Men and Determined Strong Women (DSW). Our mission is to help scholars develop the life skills necessary to create and maintain healthy relationships and foster a positive self-identity. Our staff and volunteers are here to assist in the social and emotional challenges that our scholar may face.
