Sokhary

Sokhary was born and raised in Cambodia and is a survivor of the Cambodian Genocide. She currently resides in San Diego, California. Sokhary reflects on her journey by sharing her story about migration, food, and pregnancy. At the time of the conversation, she recently discovered that she will be a Yey (grandmother), thus evolving this into an intergenerational project. The conversation is between Sokhary and her daughter (interviewer, Amira Noeuv) for her expected first granddaughter.
