This is a delightful, cool, and refreshing Samoan dessert. It can be eaten during a hot afternoon or the cool evenings after dinner. Depending on how you serve it, it can be a fruit salad or a drink. Many of the ingredients can be found at your local Asian supermarket.
This fruity salad is cherished by To’o Leituala. Salati means salad in Samoan.
Ingredients:
1 pineapple or 2 cans of pineapple
1 papaya
1 mango
1-2 cans of coconut milk
1 can of condensed milk or ½ cup of sugar
1 large pitcher/bowl
Directions:
Step 1: Blend or cut the pineapple and papaya into small pieces.
Step 2: Add the blended or cut fruit to a pitcher.
Step 3: Add coconut milk to the pitcher.
Step 4: Add condensed milk, sugar, or sweetener of choice for a sweeter taste (optional).
Step 5: Mix Well
Step 6: Refrigerate for an hour
Step 7: Serve in a cup or a bowl
