Online Faculty Development Modules

The MD Program has an online library of faculty development resources that have been purposefully designed to support all teachers in the MD Program. More information about these resources is here.

The following modules are recommended for all teachers in the MD Program. To complete them, log into your Instructor Homepage and find the full list of modules on right right side, under "Faculty Development Modules -- All".

• Clerkship 101 for Clinical Preceptors (if you teach primarily in a required clerkship rotation)

NOTE: Once you have completed each module, be sure to acknowledge completion by clicking on the check box on the final page. 

Course & Clerkship Coordinators

If you are teaching in a course or clerkship for the first time, reach out the course or clerkship coordinator who can provide an introduction to the learning experience and answer your questions.

• If you are teaching in a pre-clerkship course, plan to attend the course orientation meeting (which occurs 3-4 weeks before the start of the course), which will introduce you to different aspects of the course and ensure you have all the information you need to support your teaching.

• Pre-clerkship curriculum administrators in Edmonton and Grande Prairie can also answer many logistical questions about scheduling, sessions, access to Cally, and student assessment.

• Clerkship administrators can similarly provide logistical support and confirm scheduling.
