LAW505 Private International Law

This course in private international law (also known as conflict of laws) considers the rules governing legal disputes that cut across provincial or national boundaries. Topics include jurisdiction, distinctions between substantive and procedural rules, the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, domicile, proof of foreign law, and the choice of law rules relating to private law.
