WHAT: Urban Hope is currently recruiting Literacy Volunteers to work in our Public Schools in Staten Island, where our children in K- 2 grades, are struggling the most and reading below their grade levels. This is a wonderful way of helping and serving your community as well as an opportunity to have field experience. Children thrive, when individuals give them guidance and instruction, through the personal attention and engagement.
WHO: Any high schooler residing in New York City
WHEN: Once a week from November 2022 - May 2023

WHAT: This is a rare opportunity to learn directly from professional musicians and industry pros about subjects including songwriting, audio engineering, jazz appreciation, and music journalism. All workshops are intended for high school ages.
WHO: Any high schooler residing in New York City
WHEN: After school for 1.5 hours per session, 2 times per week online

The Ranger Conservation Corps Internship (Unpaid)
WHAT: The Ranger Conservation Corps is a great urban environmental internship for high school students who are interested in the natural world or environmental issues. Ranger Conservation Corps interns gain experience while working with the Urban Park Rangers on environmental restoration in natural areas in our flagship parks. Participants may go on exciting field trips including canoeing, overnight camping, and more. Interns receive community service hours, and the experience looks great on a college application!

WHEN: Once a week on weekday's for 2 hours
