Description of topic: First contact between Europeans and indigenous populations around the world is a common theme in Social Studies 10-1. This lesson will have students use the knowledge they have learned from the past and apply it in a modern setting. They will think of advice to give to a isolated tribe in the Amazon who have recently emerged from isolation and have started to make contact with the outside world.

This activity asks student to offer advice to tribe of natives making contact with the outside world for the first time. The document provided is a "class" document in which all there answers will be shared thanks to the collaborative ability of a Google Doc.
