Demonstrate the ability to integrate pedagogical approaches and educational technologies in practical classroom teaching and training, as well as the ability to reflect on the effective application of technology-supported pedagogical approaches.
For this assignment, Innovating Pedagogy: An Annotated Bibliography, I conducted some research on pedagogical approaches that involved integrating technology into the classroom and how it shaped their pedagogical approaches. As I was able to learn more about different research on some pedagogical approaches, I was also able to reflect on how the research presented could be implemented in the classroom.
During the Theoretical Foundation of Educational Technology course, I wrote a reflection paper on some of the theories discussed. I chose to focus on theories related to early childhood education. In the reflection paper, I discussed Piaget's cognitive constructionism and Vygotsky's social constructivism regarding early childhood. The assignment relates to the Pedagogy and Theory PLO as I use this paper to reflect on how these theories relate to the pedagogical approaches I use in my teaching.
For this assignment, I created a presentation using the Pecha Kucha presentation style to introduce the responsibilities of the event coordinator role. Each slide is displayed for 20 seconds, resulting in a presentation time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. The presentation is a training introduction video for teachers taking on this additional role. This assignment relates to the Pedagogy and Theory PLO as I used the Pecha Kucha pedagogical approach to create a training video for the teachers who would step into the assigned role as the Event Coordinator.
