Students have access to tutoring 24/7 via Pear Deck Tutoring and Varsity Tutoring.
The schedule and standards provided are simply suggestions to help ensure students focus on their core subject areas throughout the week.
Add and subtract within 5
Operations and Algebraic Thinking
Solve addition and subtraction problems using objects, drawings, or equations.
Understand addition as putting together and subtraction as taking apart.
L.RF.K.3. Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding and encoding words.
Focus: Demonstrate basic knowledge of one-to-one letter-sound correspondences by producing many of the most frequently used sounds of each consonant.
Number and Operations in Base Ten
Compose and decompose numbers 11–19 to build place value understanding.
L.RF.K.2. Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes).
Focus: Recognize and produce rhyming words. Count, pronounce, blend, and segment syllables in spoken words.
Number and Operations—Fractions
Know number names and count to 100 by ones and tens.
Count to tell the number of objects and compare quantities.
L.WF.K.2 Demonstrate command of the conventions of encoding and spelling common, regular, single-syllable words by:
Focus: Representing phonemes, first to last, in simple words, using letters with a transparent relationship to sound (e.g., the “o” in “rope” may be spelled with a single letter, o).
Data Literacy
Describe and compare measurable attributes such as length, weight, and height.
Classify objects into categories and count the number in each category.
L.WF.K.3 Demonstrate command of the conventions of sentence composition.
Focus: Repeat a sentence, identifying how many words are in the sentence.
Write simple sentences.
Geometry
Identify and describe shapes, including squares, circles, triangles, and 3D shapes like cubes and spheres.
Analyze, compare, and compose simple shapes to create new ones.
L.WF.K.3 Demonstrate command of the conventions of sentence composition.
Focus: Capitalize the first word in a sentence, capitalize proper names, and include spaces between words. Use end punctuation.
