PBIS
What is PBIS?
PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports) is a multi-tiered framework to improve the systems and practices that affect student academic, social, and behavioral outcomes. Our goal with PBIS is to recognize and encourage positive behaviors within the classroom and beyond. At TUVA, we expect our students to be focused, accountable, and respectful. Please see our matrix of expected behaviors below.
We recognize the positive choices our scholars make every day through incentives and positive recognition. However, we know scholars may occasionally struggle to meet or follow the PBIS expectations. When infractions occur, our teachers, counselors, and administrative team will work together to address the infraction and use restorative practices to remedy the situation. Consequences, if necessary, will adhere to the TUSD Code of Conduct.
