The Torrance Unified School District's AI Committee is composed of educators, administrators, parents/ guardians, and other district stakeholders. The committee is dedicated to achieving several vital goals. These objectives primarily revolve around creating comprehensive policies to govern the use of Artificial Intelligence in education. Overall, the AI committee's efforts are geared toward creating a well-defined and forward-looking framework for the responsible and effective use of Artificial Intelligence in education, with a strong emphasis on fostering digital citizenship and enhancing the learning experience.

Teachers (Elementary, Middle, & High School), Principals (Elementary, Middle, & High School), the Coordinator of Expanded Learning, the Director of State and Federal Projects, the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, TUSD Parent, the EdTech Team, & the Chief Technology Officer.

3.) Establishing a Professional Development Plan: How integrating AI-based technology can support the SAMR Model to scaffold instruction and maximize its impact on student learning (Ongoing)
4.) Establishing an AI Exploration Program for district-wide implementation (May 2024)
