Tulare Western High School is proud to offer a Pre-Medical Academy, a program that allows students to research the medical field and its many branches while giving them the opportunity for hands-on experiences and work-based learning.
This four year, open-enrollment program exposes students to a rigorous curriculum, including honors/AP classes, that is unique compared to current school offerings.
Students will be cohorted in academic courses, including a CTE topic each year in “Health Careers Exploration” and “Biotechnology.” Students will experience work-based learning opportunities including job-shadows, interview preparation, guest speakers and internships.
Our goal is that students who graduate from this program will gain valuable practical experience and have a leg-up on the competition for both college and career in the medical field.
We are Certified by NAF, the National Academy Foundation, which provides our Work Based Learning (WBL) curriculum and certifies our program for school to career readiness. For more information about NAF use this link: https://naf.org
