Due Date: September 3rd, 2025
Junior Fees: All juniors are required to pay $35.00, which includes $20 National membership dues and a $15 NHS T-Shirt.
Senior Fees: All seniors are required to pay $60.00, which includes $20 National membership dues, a $15 NHS T-Shirt, and a $25 stole for the graduation ceremony.
This must be paid for by all members by September 3, 2025, in the bookstore. Failure to pay dues will result in membership being revoked.
If there is any financial hardship regarding dues and fees, please email both of the NHS Advisers, Mrs. Kratsch and Mrs. Zentgraf. Individual financial circumstances will not prevent a student from NHS membership.
NHS meetings are held once a month, during both lunches in Lecture Hall "B." The meetings will start 10 minutes after lunch begins. Meetings are brief but contain very important information for all members.
The meeting dates will be placed on the NHS website and a reminder will be sent on Remind. Please make a note of these dates in a way that helps you to remember them!
NHS meeting attendance is mandatory!
To remain as an active member, you may only miss ONE MEETING per semester (2 total for the year). Membership will be suspended if you miss more than 2 meetings. Of course any school-related activity is excused, but the NHS Adviser must be notified of the absence in advance. Please email Mrs. Kratsch and the NHS president, Brieuc Le Faou if you are absent.
All NHS members must complete service hours to maintain active membership status. Service requirements include:
Completion of 30 total hours of community service by mid-April.
You must complete and submit 15 hours by December 12, 2025.
Corona-Sponsored Hours are those directly run by NHS or that occur on campus through a school organization. Members need at least 15 of the 30 required hours from this category. NHS-sponsored service projects (such as NHS street cleanups, Trunk or Treat, etc.) do not need documentation or photos. Attendance will be taken by the adviser.
Community Hours are those completed at outside organizations or external to campus or school activities. Members can count up to 15 hours towards the required 30 from this category. Upon completing a non-Corona service project, documentation and verification photos must be turned in within two weeks of performing the service. After two weeks, the service project will not count.
Returning members--You may use 10 hours of community service from summer activities. The remaining 20 hours must be completed during the school year.
You should check the Corona NHS website regularly for information on service opportunities.
If the 30-hour service requirement is not met, membership will be revoked and fees will not be refunded.
All active NHS members will have eligibility requirements reviewed periodically during the school year by the NHS Adviser.
Students who become ineligible for membership due to academics, discipline, service, or any other violation of the Corona NHS Pillars or Bylaws will be issued a letter of warning and placed on probationary status. Other consequences as appropriate may be issued, depending on the severity of the infraction, up to dismissal from the organization.
The goal is to keep all students active in the Corona NHS organization! We want you here! :)
