Our House Representatives and Senior Prefect led assemblies for the full week to raise awareness for Comic Relief- Red Nose Day 2022.
They did a brilliant job!
Wear RED Friday!
Our students got involved in Red Nose Day 2022 by wearing an item of red clothing on Friday.
They took part in a variety of activities during tutor time, working together as a group.
Click here to view our House Assembly this week with the theme of 'Time To Talk'.
The day is about encouraging everyone to feel comfortable talking about mental health – whenever they like. Talking about mental health reduces stigma, helping to create supportive communities where we can talk openly about mental health and feel empowered to seek help when we need it.
On Friday 19th November TSLA will be supporting BBC Children in Need by coming in 'non-school uniform', whilst contributing a ÂŁ1.00. We would encourage all staff and students to make this voluntary donation using the link below- you do not require a log in, the link will take you straight to the page. You can make your donation throughout the course of this week, ready for Friday:
https://app.parentpay.com/ParentPayShop/Foc/Default.aspx?shopid=3975
Please see the poster attached including more information and videos that you can watch explaining what Children in Need is all about and who they support. There will be other activities going on in the academy e.g. Pedal for Pudsey, however you will know if you are involved in this event.
We look forward to seeing you support Children in Need! I will have my Pudsey ears on!

An absolutely fantastic event to raise money for Children in Need! A combination of 'dress down Friday' and 'pedal for pudsey'. We also had an exciting visit from BBC Look North!
Student Leadership Assembly Week!
October 2021
A huge congratulations to everyone who was awarded their Student Leadership badges this week. We are so excited for you to get started as leaders!
At this time of year TSLA staff and students live out one of our core values - GENEROSITY
Each year we collect food as part of our harvest celebrations and donate this food to Scunthorpe Food Bank.
In doing this we each play our part in creating a local miracle - loving and feeding people in need in our own community.
We are so pleased to see our food bank donations growing each day. Thank you to all who have donated food or written prayers and kind messages so far... check back next week to see the final collection.
A huge WELL DONE to everyone who has participated in Sports Day 2021 so far.

Our students have been busy learning and celebrating pride month. This has included creating notice boards and room displays, lessons across the curriculum on LGBT+, assemblies and a quiz. A special mention to 7/1 who also created their own presentations as part of the eclipse project. It was GREAT to see so many students involved and expressing opinions that demonstrated all of our core values. More pictures of the student's work are on the student voice page.
Congratulations Mashud for winning the TSLA Fantasy Football 2021!
We hope you liked your prize!
