Diversity Month 2021
is here and jam packed with lots of reflection, challenge and activities to celebrate and promote the academy diversity as well as around the UK and the world!

To celebrate diversity in Science lessons students have been thinking about the life of Stephen Hawking as an example of a person who overcame physical barriers to continue his career as a scientist.
The Maths department embracing Diversity Week with lessons around Arab contribution to Maths. Students exploring isometric patterns and designs! Some beautiful work from students !

Our wonderful History department has set up a debate for tutor time around Diversity: the focus is on Deleting History and the events that followed in Britain with famous statues and Black Lives Matter?

Challenges completed with OUTSTANDING effort will receive 5 points.

A new month and a NEW LOOK to our DIVERSITY CHALLENGES.
We have changed the scoring system to better reward the QUALITY of students' work
You will now receive 1 point for completing any of challenges at a simple level eg a 1 sentence answer or simple pencil drawing
Challenges completed in more detail eg a paragraph of writing or a coloured picture will score 3 points
Challenges completed with OUTSTANDING effort will receive 5 points.
You may complete 1, 2 or 3 challenges each month
Please POST your work in your HOUSE google classroom
