When routing the display cable, consider:
exposure to hazards, including mechanical damage by the operator, environmental hazards, heat, corrosive materials, and weather.
existing grommeted entry points. When taking the cable outside the cab, use grommeted holes to minimize the amount of dust and moisture in the cab.
maintaining free space between structures holding the display, or the display itself.
maintain free space between the system and windows that open and close, controls, and the view of the work area.
moving parts:
sharp edges, try various positions.
attach the RAM ratchet ball-clamp to the ball and the display and trial various positions.
Install the TMC display using the window magnetic mount (P/N 110262-00), RAM ratchet ball-clamp (P/N 58440-10-HH), and VESA adapter (P/N 115107).
Install the TMC display using the wall (151509-10) or floor mount (P/N 80519-50), RAM ratchet clamp + ball (P/N 5844-10-HH), and VESA adapter (P/N 115107).
Fix either the bulkhead bracket (P/N 151509-10) or the floor bracket (P/N 80519-50) to a suitable surface with the appropriate hardware.
For correct operation, the CAN bus requires termination close to both ends. Refer to the connection diagram.
The CAN-to-ETH adapter (P/N 92299-80) and the ethernet switch (P/N 92299-85) connects all system data to the TMC display over a single ethernet port.
The CAN-to-ETH adapter converts data to and from the CAN bus and the TMC display.
The ethernet switch powers the CAN-to-ETH adapter from port 2 or 3.
Locate and install the CAN-to-ETH adapter and rugged ethernet switch either in the cab or engine bay to suit the cable lengths and location of the TMCdisplay.
For the parts associated with the CAN-to-ETH adapter and rugged ethernet switch, see Platform kit – Rugged Power, CAN-to-ETH add-on.
Cable, P/N 132339-005, powers the CAN-to-ETH adapter from either port 2 or 3 on the rugged ethernet switch.
Cable, P/N 131637-030, connects to BA-05 on the main harness (P/N 160702-030) for power.
ETH1 and CAN2 ETH and SAE power extension cables are available (see Platform kit – Rugged Power, CAN-to-ETH add-on).
