This section provides a collection of helpful techniques that we would like to pass along. If you have feedback or questions please use the submit feedback button below.
Sometimes you need to clear the web browser cache for a specific website to reset some application behavior. There are two options:
Open the Website you want to clear in the cache
Press Ctrl + F5 or use Ctrl + R
Or use the Developer Tools by pressing F12. Once the chrome dev tools are open, just right click on the refresh button and a menu will drop down. This menu gives you the option of doing a hard refresh.
Use the settings option of the application to clear cached data that may affect your published map layers or other settings.
Open the navigation panel on the left, then Settings > User cache > Clear.
If the above steps still does not resolve your issue, then you can clear out the local settings (Chrome is the example):
Open the Google Chrome Console by pressing F12 key.
Select “Application” in the console's top menu; looks for ">> " to expand the menu options if you do not see "Application".
Select “Local Storage” in the console's left menu.
Right click your site(s) and click clear to delete the local storage.
Press F11 to make the browser full screen. To make the browser header visible again simply press F11 again.
There are two components required to have a full localized language support 1) the application interface and 2) the language profile configured with field info and context info during setup.
Application Interface
The application interface will pick up the default language setting from your browser and use this to display menus, toolbars, and messages in the supported language.
To switch the application interface language from the default to one of the supported languages simply change the default language in your browser. For example, in Chrome click Settings -> Advanced -> Languages -> Language -> Order languages based on your preference. You may need to "Add languages".
If LRM Web was already running you will need to exit and sign back in to see the changes. Also, you may need to press Ctrl+F5 to refresh any cached terminology. The supported languages include: en-US (default), de-DE, es-ES, fi-FI, fr-CA, and pt-BR. Additional languages can be added based on customer demand.
Language Profile
The content of LRM Web is managed by your configuration language profile; i.e., the data needs to be configured to support one or more language profiles. Contact your Trimble Forestry account manager to determine if you need to make any changes to your setup to implement your language profiles. If you are already using language profiles with LRM Desktop, then you will be able to take advantage of that configuration with LRM Web.
If you have two or more screens connected to your computer and you use different scales for each monitor then you will experience an offset in the tooltips position. For example your main monitor is set to 125% and your secondary monitor is scaled to 100%. When using Chrome browser your tooltips displayed for buttons will be displayed offset and in some cases off the screen. The solution is to make both monitors the same scale.
Dashboards work best when navigating from the Tree View or Query View while in "Data View" mode; i.e., turn off your Map View.
The DEMO dashboards are configured with public access and restricted account access.
US Weather Dashboard - no login required
Demo Dashboard - requires an LRM Esri Portal Account. This does not work with your ArcGIS account.
Web Parity - Embedded - required a Trimble Account
LRM Web Parity Progress - requires a Trimble Account
Covid-19 Dashboard - no login required
In some cases public WMS services may publish mixed content including references to HTTPS and HTTP. This could result in a 500, 502, or some other error based on insecure content from an HTTP source.
You may end up with a message like: "Mixed Content: The page at 'https://{some URL here/ngsw-worker.js' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure HTTP resource 'http://som URL here/wms?paramters...'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS".
If this occurs, verify the content provider and if necessary contact the provider and request they publish secure content. If that is not possible and you feel the need to load insecure content then you can force the content to be loaded using these steps
While the Map View is open
Press Ctrl + F5 to refresh the map view
then try to add WMS layer again
We advise to avoid using insecure HTTP content, but if you know the source and trust it, then this may help access WMS services while they transition to publishing more secure content.
